Telling Stories Powerfully

story

What fuels our work is “story.”  At the core of what we have been living out and doing is storytelling.   How we actually do it has evolved.

Stories invite connection and engagement.

Though stories are now just fingertips away from being heard, we are asking, “what stories really matter?” AND “which ones are not being told?” OR “why are they not being heard?”

Good stories deserve to be heard.

Powerful stories have a natural momentum.   We all know it and have experienced it.   They have shaped and shaken the world.   Stories make waves.

leadership

Storytellers have a long history moving their tribes to action.  Helping storytellers answer the “why,” “how,” and “where” involves leadership in the process.

Tipping points do not happen overnight.    It requires torchbearers to lead the way in holding up stories to shape an ethos.

Process is a necessity for change.   Leadership with our clients in this process empowers us to help them reach their goals.

We listen and pay attention.   We solidify what is being envisioned and find the story that leads all stories to follow.

Process is a necessity

Design, Delivery, and Connection Matter

Some stories spread like wildfire and need to be canned in a spam folder.   Some of the greatest stories never land or “have their day” because it was lost in the delivery.

Our visual storytelling continues to evolve but what is constant revolves around the need for impeccable delivery and deep connection.

We help groups, individuals, and teams connect their mission, vision, and purpose to their story.  We find what gels so that “storytelling meets branding.”

Good stories delivered well is where we stoke the flame of that fire.   These stories build tribes.

design

storytelling it is

“Design is storytelling” writes Ellen Upton.

Intentional story design produces sustainability, accessibility, and sticktoitiveness.

Everything says something; Words, visuals, symbols, lines, movement, and the light and absence of it… they all matter.

Through design, we storyboard and message with the aim for “story sense” in every project.

ideate

Ideation is an invitation to imagine.

We love being invited into this space with the people we work with.

“If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”

― Albert Einstein

create

We bring creativity to the table.   Each of us, big or small in the collective, bring linear, circular, cloud brainstorming, out-of-the box, and seasoned thinking to our work and it is fun.

We love the creative tools and mediums we use as they are our instruments for orchestration.

inspire

We call the “digital assets” we co-create, “good stories – stories that connect.”   Our resident pun master calls them “special *affects.”    It’s what we love doing.

Having “affective” stories inspires action and it does the world good.

They start like a buzz in one’s ear and become that song that never leaves your head.

We know of those stories that strike a chord so deep, we just have to respond in a profound and meaningful way. We not only share it but live by it.

Powerful stories can start like a small ripple then build and create a wave washes over and touches everyone.   They carry a message far far away then back and they do that again and again.    Sometimes they become a welcomed tsunami where landscapes need to be transformed or the perpetual surf for rocks to become sand.
